Privacy Policy
This site, therobin.dev, is run by Robin Solanki, a freelance web & AI engineer. I keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site and reply to you, and I never sell it. Here's exactly what that means.
What I collect
The contact form. When you send an enquiry I receive your name, email and message, and — if added — company, project type and rough timeline. It's used only to read and reply, and reaches my inbox by email; nothing more.
Analytics. I use OpenPanel, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to understand traffic in aggregate: which pages are viewed, outgoing link clicks, and a few interaction events (for example, that someone tried the demo assistant). It records basic device and browser information and may store an anonymous identifier in the browser. It is not used for advertising and the data isn't sold or shared.
Theme preference. If you switch between dark and light mode, that choice is saved in the browser's local storage so the site remembers it. It never leaves your device.
The demo assistant. The "Northside" chat on the home page is a scripted demo that runs entirely in the browser — messages are not sent to a server, stored, or used to train anything.
Who processes it
I rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the site: Vercel (hosting), Resend (delivers contact-form emails to me), and OpenPanel (analytics). Each only handles the data described above, on my behalf.
How long I keep it
Enquiry emails stay in my inbox for as long as they're useful to help you, then get cleared out periodically. Analytics is aggregate and retained on a rolling basis. You can ask me to delete anything tied to you at any time.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal data I hold about you, or object to how it's used. You can also block analytics with any standard content blocker or your browser's privacy settings — the site works perfectly without it. For anything privacy-related, email me at hello@therobin.dev.
Changes
If this policy changes, I'll update the date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
